About Me
I'm Carmen, the owner and wax specialist behind Wax Reveal By Carmen. I’ve been a licensed Cosmetologist in New Jersey since 2015 and have over 5 years of experience specializing in waxing.
I absolutely love meeting new people, learning from each of you, and making sure you leave with a smile.
My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and confident with each visit. I take pride in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment (yes, I really enjoy it!) and I’m very detail-oriented and a perfectionist when it comes to my work.
After graduating, I found myself unsure of what direction to take, so I attended the annual IBS/IECSC (International Beauty Show/International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference) in New York. On the first day, I spotted the talented Kelley Baker (@KelleyBakerBrows) at the Satin Smooth waxing booth, and I was instantly captivated by her artistry. Watching her transform brows with precision and skill had my eyes in hearts . I spent all three days watching her work, taking notes, and even bought her products and a waxing kit—and yes, I even got my brows done by her!
A few months later, I began working at a waxing company, where I quickly discovered my true passion for waxing. I embraced every opportunity to learn and grow, and my progress was reflected in both my work and my growing clientele. I remained there for nearly four years, honing my skills.
My beauty journey actually started much earlier—in high school, where I attended a vocational program studying Cosmetology. I passed my state exams and earned my license, though at the time I envisioned a career as a hairstylist. Little did I know that waxing would become my true calling!
Today, I’m proud to present my own business, Wax Reveal By Carmen LLC, located inside My Salon Suites in Lyndhurst, NJ. My goal is to create an environment that you look forward to visiting—where waxing is as painless as possible, where you feel truly cared for, and where you're more than just a client. At Wax Reveal, waxing reveals something special in all of us.
